You will arrive in Kerala – the home of Ayurveda – late afternoon on 6th September to the beautiful grounds of the five star luxury Taj Bekal Resort and Spa, nestled on Kappil beach with its laterite villas and rooms inspired by the design of Ketuvallam houseboats.

After settling in your room, enjoy some free time to relax and climatise to your new home for the next week before we meet for a welcome dinner. Explore the beautiful and airy courtyards, manicured lawns and landscaped gardens.

Each morning we will start the day with meditation from traditional teachings and also some fun unconventional methods. A gentle rejuvenating Hatha yoga class follows which will help to wake the body and mind ready for the day. The silence of being in nature for the class will allow space for introspection and mindful practice. 

A delicious healthy breakfast will be served where we will dine as a group, using this time to connect with each other and build lasting relationships. After breakfast, we will partake in daily focussed group coaching that will start with an evaluation of where you are now in life and where you want to be, building up each day to get you closer to your true needs and wants, ending with an action plan that you can implement on your arrival home.

Enjoy some free time before dining from a tailored-made indulgent vegetarian lunch together. This time is for building relationships and laughter. After lunch, you will have free time to partake in Ayurveda. You will have a consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor at the internationally renowned Jiva Spa and then be prescribed daily treatments for the duration of your stay. These treatments will help with the imbalances in your physical body and help to treat the causes so that your mind can adapt to the healthier you. Have a one-on-one coaching session with me to get deeper into your journey coupled with some Reiki healing. Indulge in a swim that will help to release muscle tension and relax your body. Dive into a book, walk the stunning grounds, listen to the birds, bathe in the sun and just be. It’s important that you have plenty of time for yourself on these trips. Reflection and quiet contemplation is where the magic happens!

Before dinner we will meet together to regroup with a non-denominational spiritual activity. Something that will open you up to the endless possibilities of your life, that will show you the strength you have inside and how to access it when life becomes overwhelming, give you perspective and build your confidence to know that you have what it takes to truly live life on your terms.

Throughout the week, we will enjoy local experiences including a Kettuvallam (boat) Cruise with high tea and on the final day, a Dhanvantri Homam/Havan for Health and Longevity. This is a Spiritual ceremony, that helps to maintain a healthy balance of your physical, psychological and spiritual being and also acts as a prevention for future diseases. It increases immunity and is said to cure ailments that cannot be treated through mainstream medicines. 

The group will depart early on the morning of 13th September with airport transfers to Mangalore.

Here is some essential information you will require to travel to India. Please ensure that you are aware of these and should you have further questions about travel to India, please enquire at the India tourist board or Indian Embassy websites.


You will require a tourist e-visa. You can obtain one at the official website for approx £75pp. For travellers outside of the UK, please see applicable information through this website also.



These are the essential vaccinations you must have before travel to India. Further information and costs are available on the Nomad Travel website or through your GP.

Diptheria & Tetanus, Hepatitus A & Typhoid

Anti-Malaria tablets are advised.



Once you have booked your place through Frankly Coaching Ltd. A booking under your name will be made at the hotel. You will be sent your confirmation number and then you may upgrade or add to your booking directly with the hotel.



The nearest international airport is Bangalore (BLR). The nearest airport to the resort is Mangalore (IXE). The airport transfers that are included in the package are for Mangalore which is approximately a 90 min drive.

Everyone should arrive at the resort by 5pm. Transfers will be coordinated once flights are booked.


Fly from UK (overnight) on 5th September to Bangalore and then connect to a 1 hour flight to Mangalore. 

  • There are a number of airline options if you fly into Bangalore or Mumbai. For the connecting flight, it may be easier to arrange these flights through a travel agent.  

  • Please note that with the domestic flight, you may need to pay for extra baggage. Please check the airline’s website for details).

  • You do also have options to fly directly into Mangalore from the UK with other airlines. 

  • We can liaise on best flight options once you have secured your space.

Ayurveda is considered by many scholars to be the oldest healing science. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means “The Science of Life.” Ayurvedic knowledge originated in India more than 5,000 years ago and is often called the “Mother of All Healing.” It stems from the ancient Vedic culture and was taught for many thousands of years in an oral tradition from accomplished masters to their disciples.

Some of this knowledge was set to print a few thousand years ago, but much of it is inaccessible. The principles of many of the natural healing systems now familiar in the West have their roots in Ayurveda, including Homeopathy and Polarity Therapy.

Your Constitution and Its Inner Balance

Ayurveda places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to balance in one’s life, right thinking, diet, lifestyle and the use of herbs. Knowledge of Ayurveda enables one to understand how to create this balance of body, mind and consciousness according to one’s own individual constitution and how to make lifestyle changes to bring about and maintain this balance.

Just as everyone has a unique fingerprint, each person has a particular pattern of energy—an individual combination of physical, mental and emotional characteristics—which comprises their own constitution. This constitution is determined at conception by a number of factors and remains the same throughout one’s life.

Many factors, both internal and external, act upon us to disturb this balance and are reflected as a change in one’s constitution from the balanced state. Examples of these emotional and physical stresses include one’s emotional state, diet and food choices, seasons and weather, physical trauma, work and family relationships. Once these factors are understood, one can take appropriate actions to nullify or minimize their effects or eliminate the causes of imbalance and re-establish one’s original constitution. Balance is the natural order; imbalance is disorder. Health is order; disease is disorder. Within the body there is a constant interaction between order and disorder. When one understands the nature and structure of disorder, one can re-establish order. – Dr Vasant Lad

Deposit: will be deducted from final retreat balance. The retreat will go ahead with a minimum of 8 participants with a maximum group size of 10 people. Should the retreat be cancelled for not meeting minimum numbers, any monies paid will be refunded.
