My mission is to help people understand how important their wellbeing is for their self-efficacy. Without an informed understanding of what wellbeing elements are most beneficial to the individual, the mind and body will not work together to produce the results you require. To achieve your life goals, you must first evaluate your health and make the necessary changes to move yourself closer to the life you desire.
I’ve always wanted to be Happy.
My life is full of experiences that have led me to becoming a Coach. Mostly my own breakdown and how I’ve been able to manage my life better since learning about myself. It has had it’s ups and downs like everyone else’s but my strength, determination and my spirit that won’t quit has kept me moving forward.
I had a breakdown when I was 33 which was diagnosed as depression. On the outside there was no apparent reason for it – life was good; great job, great man, great home – happy.
Turned out that I’d spent all of my adult life pleasing other people in my personal and work life.
I didn’t put myself first. Ever.
By giving to everyone and everything else, I lost my own sense of being and didn’t know what really made me happy. I struggled to achieve any goals, I didn’t work where I was happy, I had difficulties in my relationships, I’ve struggled with my health. All because I didn’t understand how to put myself first without upsetting anyone else or compromising my work.
On my road to recovery, I learned how to put myself first. I learned about imposter syndrome, I learned how to manage stress, I learned about awareness.
For the first time, I was also able to qualify when I was happy and what made me happy.
My professional background is in Marketing with over 18 years in the Hospitality and Travel industries. I have a BA in Marketing and Business Law and have launched many successful ventures.
The road to Coaching began in 2012. I have a Certification in Counselling skills. Certified NLP Life Skills. Certified Well-being Coach from the British School of Coaching which is ILM accredited. In addition I have certification in the following: Reiki practitioner, Indian head massage therapist and Naturopath.
My experience from the ‘school of life’ also extends to my up-bringing. When working with clients, I will share knowledge from Ayurveda (an ancient Indian practice that entails healing the body with the mind) – covering all areas of life including Mindfulness, meditation, food, lifestyle and values.
